Birmingham is the best team in LA.City section football history after THE HAM put hand's on TAFT 45-0 then brees through the city playoffs they will then meet a team worthy enough to be on the same field as the mighty PATRIOTS at least on paper the De LE Salle Spartans unfourtnitly the Spartans will leave that game with a disappointing 45-7 loss to one of the best team's in CALIFORNIA high school football history the BIRMINGHAM PATRIOTS.The End
I am a Birmingham Alum and i know just like everybody else that TAFT aint got no action this friday aginst Birmingham however all is not lost for TAFT they will be the only City tham to have a shot to knocc off Birmingham in the coming years Remember the name Taquan Briggs a 10th grader # 24 6"1 205 lbs RB not the next Milton Knox he will be better than Milton and that's hard to do Milton is the best RB in the Nation for bacc's 6 feet and under let me get bacc to BRIGG'S i expect BRIGG'S to be the number #1 RB in the NATION his senior year and next year when Mr Knox is starting at UCLA as a True Freshman BRIGG'S will rush for over 2,ooo yards and 30 TD's as BIRMINGHAM will bogard they way to a third straight City Championship Trophy and 5 of the past 6 overall can you say DYNASTY Brigg's and Birmingham will do this next year and as long as Coach Croson is walking the sideline at the Ham no city team will feel comfortable in the Playoffs again knowing Birmingham in coming

Hey Stoonk ---word out is that the Young Guns of Taft be prime targets to recruit next year by other teams.Yes other teams do recruit players but Taft has never recruited.

An anonymous posting of November 5 says HAM is trying to steal players.I assume HAM is Birmingham and if this is true is anything being done by LASUD to stop this recruiting? Who is behind this at Birmingham ? The head coach or someone on the football staff,friend of the team ? Who is the recruiter is the big question.Will stay tuned as this could be bigtime breaking news !!
Dayon S.(O'so), tell yo lil bro to take it easy on us this Friday...we all (Taft family 92-94) know that he really suppose to be wearing a Taft jersey...all of you haters out there, you are lucky that Milton didn't follow in his bro footsteps...well he did...he is wearing # 2...what is crazy is that Milton was a youngster on our sideline watching Jerry B. run all over the city section...the only difference is that Jerry B. did most of his damage in 3 quarters...Milton, stay healthy cause you have a bright future but remember, since you didn't become a Toreador, have your worst game of your career this Friday because you owe this to us and all will be forgiven...

im prolly the most motivated former t-house football player but i honestly dont think taft has it this year...ive been to their practices a few times...the discipline is not there sometimes...some of the guys dont have enough heart...cheating in the drills is ok during practice, ur cheating urself but bcuz of that during high intensity games those people who are spossed to get us that "W" breakdown and dont kno wat to do wen shit is hitting the fan cuz they never dealt with it during practice...RUN MORE GASSERS!!!...but if Taft manages to beat b-ham...then more power to em...u kno im a Toreador for life, so no matter what imma always be rooting for T-House...make us proud !!!
i donno how Coach K's pregame and halftime speeches are...but im telling ya, you guys need a speech from Coach Starr...he always had something motivational to say that made you wanna give it more than just your all
This is a YOUNG group. Look at the roster. T-HOUSE WILL BE LOADED next year. That roster is full of jrs and sophs. Birmingham loses EVERYBODY except a receiver and an up and coming back - but we got DJ who will smoke him. This is it for them. NOW GO OUT AND TAKE IT AWAY!

Well i was in the locker room before the game last week and all the players and past alumni (Starr's guys included) were fired up to go out and kick some ass, and it showed with that 21-0 lead they jumped out to...It just seems like these kids dont know how to maintain an edge. I hope that has to do with them being young, but i look forward to seeing this team grown in the next few years.

TOO many mental mistakes made, TAFT could have made this game a lot closer. Look like Taft's QB gave up, but he is very young and I think it was all mental for him. Too bad they could have given B'ham a good run for their money. Now start to prepare for playoff football! Move on... who is next? Dorsey?

HAHA H2O Boy.. damn you are funny, I have NEVER heard that before. Fact is I WAS on the field and saw that game first hand. I played for Taft back in the early 90's. I was D-end and TE. Hey that QB is young, he is allowed to make those kind of errors, but he gave up.. he had some issues going on. Plus he came out with his hand taped up. I was in the Taft locker room at half-time and it looked like Taft's doctor/physical therapist was taking a long look at his hand, it wasn't his throwing hand. The second half he just looked to be off, plain and simple. I am not a Taft hater by far... him having talent and a love for football has nothing to do with what I said, and I don't disagree with you. I was talking to Ramona Shelburne with the Daily News and we both made the same observation... so tell me what game were you watching?
Your right on the B'ham comment, they will be drained next year, their JV doesn't look special at all and they are losing just about every impact player they have. But word is they are doing some VERY heavy recruiting so who knows. They will pick up a few big talent guys knowing their staff.
But the biggest thing Taft has to do now is but this behind them, work on the mistakes and missed assignments and get ready to play Jordan on Thursday at Jordan. Let me throw this questions out there.. is it me or does Taft and Birmingham ALWAYS get placed in the same bracket?
